Volunteer Sessions only from 15th August - Big changes are coming

Kia ora,

The Trust is responding to concerns with use of the Community Workshop facilities over the past few months. We have also been advised the current usage could be problematic from a Health & Safety and insurance perspective.

With this in mind we are going to have to shut down some of the operations in the Workshop and rebuild how we operate over the next few months. We aim to come back better than ever with a clearer structure and more Supervised Sessions that allow members to build their skills and relationship with the workshop and its users:

• From 15th August 2024 general usage of the facility will be limited to the Tuesday and Thursday morning volunteer sessions from 9 - 12

• We will not be able to offer access to members working on private projects, vehicles or vans until we relaunch our new structure

• Access to the facility will change with the PIN number for the key box changed and access only available to Senior Supervisors

• We will keep members informed as we bring back Supervised Sessions on the Whatsapp groups and through the email database

• Any vehicles parked in the yard without permission from a Senior Supervisor will be towed at the owner's expense

• Our tenant The Mint Trust will continue conducting their own supervised sessions in the workshop
